I have always looked for roles that allowed me use both the analytical and the creative sides of my brain. My role at eyebobs gives me that opportunity daily. It has also given me the unique opportunity to focus every day on work that brings real value to people's lives. Everything we do is with the goal of helping people see better.

This job has allowed me to work with a diverse group of inspiring women. Not only do women lead many of the teams I work with daily at eyebobs, but I work with women who run optical labs, women who run manufacturing facilities across the world and women who spend their time advocating for those in need. This role has given me the unique opportunity to see first hand what I always knew ... Women can do it all!

I was lucky enough, early in my career, to work with a handful of incredibly strong, inspirational women. They laid the foundation for me in terms of what I could achieve, and how I wanted to achieve it. But way before that, no question, my grandma. She taught me what true strength, kindness and perseverance mean. I think of the lessons she shared with me every single day, without fail.

I am thrilled to play a role in this new chapter at eyebob’s and continue the bold vision of our founder Julie Allinson, who saw the opportunity for a brand like ours to redefine the reading glass market. She was a pioneer who believed that there was simply no reason to settle for cheap drug store readers!
I also feel very fortunate to work alongside such a diverse group of highly talented people who are committed to delivering for our customers - from our retail teams, to product design, marketing, operations and administration – the passionate women (and men!) of eyebobs are an inspiration and what makes this brand a trueoriginal.

Be your own CVO (Chief Visionary Officer) - know your superpowers and define YOUR unique path - don’t let anyone define it for you!
Lastly, be open to new opportunities and look for inspiration in others who have gone before - be curious about what led to their success.

3. What role does mentorship and community play in your career journey?
Mentorship has been a HUGE part of my journey starting when I was in college and needed advice on what to do with my marketing degree! Then, in my first real job out of college, I was surrounded by leaders who took an interest in me and opened doors to new opportunities – this was truly foundational. They challenged me and helped build confidence in who I was as a young professional.
The importance of cultivating relationships with trusted advisors who offer guidance and
support through all stages of career and life, stayed with me throughout my career. I feel privileged to have come full circle and be fortunate to now be a mentor for others on their professional journeys.
Whether it’s cultivating 1:1 relationships or joining professional networking organizations, find YOUR people and be intentional about seeking out mentors, advisors, coaches and sponsors who recognize your value, lift you, open doors and light
the way.

I’ve walked besides so many badass women (and men!) throughout my career. Each of them taught me to be confident, find my voice, lead with heart and carve my own
path.
Most of all, I credit my mom, whose determination, resilience and encouragement shaped who I am - and the fiercely independent daughter I’ve raised, who challenges me every day. I have no doubt, she will change the world in her own unique way and in her, I see the future.
